Why I never believe that I can't have
and never conceive of love lost
while the vision of you overpowers
and can be

Sitting disconnected with the TV on
the world laughs aloud
and feels the silence of two lives
crossed by life's tragic comedy

I would sacrifice my everything
do more than love requires
even nothing for your happiness
that cannot fade while I breath

Shining my light into the darkness
lighting up the world that the Universe may see
all that I am and all that fulfills me
in poetry that is you

Forever in my heartfelt love
I can smile knowing simply
that you are alive
